Overview
Most rodent damage happens between drives, when a vehicle sits parked and undisturbed for hours, days, or weeks at a time. The Smart Defense Device is built specifically for that window. Once installed, it runs automatically day and night, drawing minimal power from the vehicle’s own battery, with no app, no manual activation, and nothing for you to remember to turn on.
It is one piece of the full Rodent Armor™ system. Where wire coating and cavity treatment protect a vehicle passively, the Smart Defense Device adds an active layer that keeps working every time the vehicle is parked, which is when a vehicle is most exposed. We install it as part of a complete Rodent Armor™ service or as a standalone addition to a vehicle that has already been treated.
Installation Service
Installation is performed on site by our technicians, not shipped to you as a self-install kit. Correct placement affects how well the device performs, and positioning varies by engine bay layout and vehicle type, which is why we handle it directly rather than leaving it to guesswork.
- Inspection. We assess the engine bay and identify the placement that gives the device the best coverage for your specific vehicle.
- Mounting. The device is securely mounted using its integrated mounting points, tool-free, without drilling or permanent modification to the vehicle.
- Wiring. The device is connected to a 12V power source, either the vehicle battery or a USB connection, depending on the vehicle and mounting location.
- Testing. Once installed, we confirm the device is powered, positioned correctly, and operating before the visit is complete.
- Documentation. You receive a record of the installation, including device placement, as part of your service documentation.
